How to Polish Dashboard Plastic Quickly and Easily

Dashboard plastic can get dull and lacklustre due to UV rays and age, but polishing it is a great way to bring back that original shine. In this guide, we'll show you the easiest and quickest method to polish up your dashboard plastic with minimal effort.
Start by cleaning the area with a UE Micro Fiber soft cloth and Ultra Car wash.
The first step in polishing any dashboard plastic is to clean it. This will remove any dirt, dust, and grime that may be present and help the polish adhere better for maximum effectiveness. Use a soft cloth or sponge and warm, soapy water and scrub gently but thoroughly to ensure the entire area is cleaned before moving on. Avoid using harsh chemicals like alcohol, as they may damage the plastic surface.
Apply the UE Autotech's dashboard polish to a clean cloth and work it into the surface of the dashboard plastic in circular motions.
After cleaning, the next step is to apply our dashboard. These often come in liquid form and work to bring your dashboard plastic back to life. Use a clean cloth―terry cloth, microfiber, or something similar―to rub the cleaner evenly into the dashboard plastic. Work it in using circular motions for several minutes until you’ve covered the entire area. Don’t forget to use a different cloth for polish than you used for scrubbing; if you use the same one, small particles of dirt can be transferred back onto your dashboard and cause scratches down the road.
With another clean cloth or UE Microfiber Cloth, buff the dashboard until it’s shiny.
Once the cleaning solution has been applied and rubbed in, the next step to achieve the glossy finish you desire is to buff the plastic. Use another clean cloth or microfiber towel for this part, parking yourself in a well-lit area that’s free of dust and dirt. Start by taking small portions of the dashboard and rubbing them away from each other in circular motions with very light pressure. Make sure that your cloth is as clean as possible; if it’s full of too much dirt, your buffing efforts will be wasted scratching up your plastic instead of polishing it.
